RIBROO Freshman Camp

This year's edition of the RIBROO Freshman Camp will be held at Uvala Scott (Kraljevica) from September 29 to October 1, 2017. The UNIRI Student Union will, for the fifth year running, organize this unique event representing the embodiment of cohesion among students of all University of Rijeka constituents.

As in previous years, participants can expect to engage in a lot of activities, gain new knowledge and information, but most importantly, get to know their colleagues and socialize with students from all of the University's components. The purpose of the Camp is to provide educational socialization for freshmen students. The Camp’s format will especially facilitate socialization among students from the same component since those freshmen will be assigned to the same team within the camp. Each team will be supervised by a coordinator, an older student trained for and familiar with the entire program.

The desired outcomes of the camp are, above all, meeting student representatives by component, meeting student representatives at the University level, getting acquainted with other students and active socializing. Along with getting acquainted, an important part of the Camp’s program consists of counselling about managing the first year of study as well as getting used to the new environment.

The aim of this program is to provide the freshmen with the most important information about what awaits them after class starts and what are some of the best ways to start their academic year off successfully.

The cost of the camp is 300 kuna, which covers:

- bus fare: Rijeka - Kraljevica (Uvala Scott) - Rijeka
- accommodation: 2 nights (full board)
- equipment for camp participants (T-shirts, notebooks, pens...)
- entrance fees for all organized events
