Handover of City's Keys

The City of Rijeka authorities officially handed over the keys of the City to the students on Monday, May 14, 2018, in the premises of the Ri Info Service. This handover of keys has become a tradition, just like the Student Day Festival itself, which will be held this year for the 9th time.

"We hand over the keys of the City in just two cases: for the Rijeka Carnival and for the Student Day Festival, and I do not believe you should be formally invited to attend the concerts," Mr. Vojko Obersnel, Mayor of the City of Rijeka, stated as he handed over the keys of the City of Rijeka to Ms. Pegi Pavletić, President of the Student Body Government of the University of Rijeka.

Professor Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., University of Rijeka Rector, addressed the attendees: "The Student Body Government of the University of Rijeka is undoubtedly the best one in Croatia, and the SDF has become a brand that is unlike anything in Croatia. I am proud and pleased with our students and grateful to the City and the Primorsko-goranska County, our partners. I wish everyone a successful organization and lots of fun.''

Mr. Goran Pertc, Head of the County Office, addressed the attendees on behalf of the Primorsko-goranska County. Ms. Pegi Pavletić, President of the UNIRI Student Body Government, announced a sports event, while Mr. Alen Tibljaš, RiKUP Ltd. Representative, presented the program.

The Festival will be held on Friday and Saturday, 18 and 19 May 2018, and the organizers are especially proud of the famous performers from the region, Bajaga, Cold Beer, S.A.R.S., and TBF, as well as the numerous Rijeka bands set to perform.
