The 13th Expert Convention DaNTe (Day of New Technologies) was held on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at the Student Center’s Café “Akvarij” at the UNIRI Campus. The convention was organized by MIPRO, Croatian Society for Information, Communication and Electronic Technology, and the University of Rijeka.
It was opened by Prof. Senka Maćešić, Ph.D., UNIRI Vice-Rector for Informatization and Organization, while the introduction speeches were held by Prof. Karolj Skala, Ph.D., president of International Program Committee of MIPRO, and Prof. Vidoje Vujić, Ph.D., professor emeritus, president of The County Chamber Rijeka at The Croatian Chamber of Commerce.
Professor Senka Maćešić greeted everyone on behalf of Madam Rector, Prof. Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., and wished everyone a successful convention, after which she presented the event’s agenda.
“I am very pleased that we are at the University of Rijeka this year since they are the co-organizers of this convention”, said Mr. Karolj Skala in his introduction speech.
Professor Vujić pointed out that some entrepreneurs still oppose the digitalization, and that it is their duty to break that resistance and educate them.
