In the context of the recently launched EU Package on strengthening economic security, YERUN is organising a webinar on February 16, 2024 on the topic of Research Security, focusing on two main initiatives from this package that are very relevant to all YERUN universities and HE institutions in general.
The webinar will cover two main aspects of the package that are particularly important for the work of YERUN: a proposal for a Council Recommendation on enhancing research security, and a white paper and a consultation on how to better support research and development involving technologies with dual-use potential.
The webinar will start with a presentation from Mr. Mirko Van Muijen, Policy Officer at DG Research and Innovation at the European Commission, who will present the initiatives and give some key info, and there will be a Q&A session where you will be able to present your questions or comments.
