Interim Rector of the University of Rijeka, Prof. Davor Vašiček, PhD, following the recommendation of the Programme Council of the YUFE’s Joint Bachelor Programme in Urban Sustainability at the University of Rijeka, has adopted a decision to align the annual tuition fee for students from Ukraine with the lower fee applicable to students from EU Member States and countries of the European Economic Area.
This decision applies to individuals who have been granted temporary protection in accordance with the Decision on the Introduction of Temporary Protection in the Republic of Croatia for Displaced Persons from Ukraine (Government of the Republic of Croatia, 7 March 2022) and the Government Decision on the Extension of Temporary Protection of 27 February 2025.
The decision applies to enrolments in the 2025/2026 academic year and will remain valid for the entire duration of studies for students enrolled under this provision.
This measure represents another way in which the University of Rijeka seeks to provide meaningful support to displaced persons from Ukraine and ensure their access to high-quality higher education in an inclusive and supportive environment.
The application deadline for this joint programme is 10 July. Full programme details are available here: https://uniri.hr/en/yufe/yufes-joint-bachelor-in-urban-sustainability-studies/.
