The University of Rijeka is in the process of joining the Pan-European Seal Programme – a prestigious European partnership initiative that connects leading universities and international institutions in the fields of intellectual property, innovation, and entrepreneurship.
The programme offers students opportunities for professional development, international networking, and access to internships and educational activities in cooperation with institutions such as the European Patent Office (EPO) and the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
Participation in the programme provides valuable experience for all students interested in innovation, creative industries, entrepreneurship, and intellectual property protection, and may be recognised as a form of professional training or as additional competencies for personal and professional development.
As part of the programme, students can take part in the Intensive IP Educational Programme (IIPEP).
The IIPEP is a comprehensive series of online lectures on intellectual property (IP), designed for university students and available free of charge.
The programme is organised in cooperation with Pan-European Seal partner universities, the Talent Bank network, and key international institutions such as the EPO, WIPO, CPVO, and the European Commission.
The lectures combine theoretical and practical perspectives and feature presentations by experts, institutional representatives, and practitioners from the field.
The programme is open to all students, regardless of their study area or prior experience in intellectual property. Participants who attend at least 80% of lectures within a given module will receive a Certificate of Attendance, while those who attend all lectures will receive a General Certificate of Attendance.
All lectures will be recorded and made available afterwards via the Academy LearningPortal.

Academy Learning Portal Course
Participants can access supplemental materials, e-learning courses, PowerPoint presentations, and recordings of the sessions (as they are made available) exclusively through the Academy Learning Portal. To enrol, participants need to:
- Head over to the Academy Learning Portal.
- Log in using an existing account or by creating a new Pan-European Sealaccount.
- Enrol in the Intensive IP Educational Programme course.
