The seventh PLSM (Project Learning and Support Meeting), the consortium meeting of the SPEAR project, was held in Kaunas and Vilnius, Lithuania, from December 5-7, 2022. The meeting brought together representatives of partner institutions from Denmark, Lithuania, Bulgaria, Germany, Hungary, Portugal, Sweden and Croatia.
The meeting provided an opportunity to raise awareness of the similarities and differences in the cultures and environments in which the partner institutions operate and to identify possible activities to strengthen the impact of gender policies and, as always, to share experiences and best practises of the partner institutions in the field of gender equality mainstreaming.
Part of the programme was dedicated to the policy proposals that the consortium is developing for different stakeholders, and part to the preparation of the final conference of the project, which will be held in Copenhagen, Denmark, on March 1, 2023. The attendees evaluated as particularly interesting and instructive the workshop on sexual violence prevention and action, led by Eva Sophia Mayers from the University of Southern Denmark, and Daria Glavan Šćulac from the University of Rijeka, who took the opportunity to present the University guidelines for sexual harassment prevention and action (University of Rijeka – safe place, without sexual harassment).
To showcase one of the most recent activities – the creation and publication of the Guidelines for Inclusive Communication – UNIRI representatives distributed copies of the publication to Consortium members. This handy pocket-sized brochure, which was also distributed to staff and students at the University of Rijeka in December, was produced by the Council for Gender Equality and funded by the SPEAR project.
