The Wirth Institute for Austrian and Central European Studies is pleased to announce the call for the first Croatian Visiting Professor at the University of Alberta, funded by the Ministry of Science, Education, and Youth of the Republic of Croatia. Applicants from any of the fields covered by the University of Alberta Faculty of Arts (Humanities, Social Sciences, Fine/Performing Arts) are encouraged to apply.
Currently, areas at the University with a vested interest in promoting deeper connections with Croatian research units include: Archeology, Women and Gender Studies, Environmental Studies, Gaming Studies, Digital Humanities/AI, and Security Studies. However, this list is not a limitation. Applications from all fields linked to the Humanities, Social Sciences, and Fine Arts are also encouraged.
Croatian Visiting Professor will become a full member of a Faculty of Arts department, as designated by the Dean. The appointment shall be for an initial term of 1 year, with the possibility of renewal for up to an additional 1 year.
