Rector of the University of Rijeka, Prof. Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., joined the GUNi Advisory Board of the Higher Education Leadership & Management Hub, following the official invitation from Mr. Quim Salvi, President of GUNi. The Advisory Board is the body that will support the development of the program and will have the expertise of personalities of higher education, public and private entities from all over the world.
The Board brings together only 10 members with respect to their gender, geographical diversity, and professional backgrounds, who are expected to commit to a 3-years term (2024-2026), even though the project intends to continue beyond this period. Gathering renowned experts from Spain, Egypt, Malaysia, Canada, Mauritius, The Netherlands, Ghana, and Croatia, the Higher Education Leadership & Management Hub will promote collaboration and joint ventures with other institutions, university associations and organisations that work in the field of the training and professional development of HEI leaders and managers.
The constituent meeting of the Hub’s Advisory Board was held online in March, and the members are expected to meet soon in Barcelona, within the framework of the Barcelona Summer School on HE Policy and Management (June 18-21, 2024). This event presents a unique opportunity for participants to meet international professional leaders on innovation and institutional transformation, develop professional skills on management and innovation in the field of universities, be part of a community of leaders and university members who envision a transformation in the higher education environment, as well as engage with UNESCO and GUNi values and become a member of the GUNi Higher Education Leadership and Management Hub.
