University of Rijeka delegation, headed by Madam Rector Prof. Snježana Prijić-Samaržija, Ph.D., visited the University of Mostar on September 19, 2019. The delegation included Prof. Senka Maćešić, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Informatization and Organization, Prof. Marta Žuvić, Ph.D., Vice-Rector for Quality Assurance and Enhancement, Ms. Roberta Hlača Mlinar, UNIRI Secretary General, Prof. Ines Srdoč-Konestra, Ph.D., Dean of the UNIRI Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Ms. Daria Glavan Šćulac, Legal Department, Ms. Željka Ljutić, Rector’s Office, and Ms. Andrea Mešanović, Rector’s Office.
During their two-day visit, UNIRI delegation met with the representatives of the University of Mostar. On that occasion, Rector of the University of Mostar, Prof. Zoran Tomić, Ph.D., presented Madam Rector Prijić-Samaržija with a plaque for her outstanding contribution to the development of the University through distinguished work in the scientific, teaching and professional fields.
Madam Rector Prijić-Samaržija and Rector Tomić discussed the ongoing cooperation between the two respective universities, but also touched upon the possibility of enhancing cooperation in the fields of teaching, publishing activities, Erasmus projects, IT, science and research. Rector Tomić stated: “We need every University to be our friend. Only in this synergy can we develop, and we consider the University of Rijeka to be our strategic partner.”
In addition to meeting with the University of Mostar’s Management, the UNIRI delegation visited the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Faculty of Medicine, where they attended a meeting with the deans and vice-deans of biomedical faculties on improving cooperation.
