Due to some technical issues encountered by some users on the YERUN Open Science Awards platform and a low number of applications, the deadline for submitting applications for the YERUN Open Science Awards has been extended to 15 December 2023.
Those who have already submitted their applications will now have time until 15 December to modify and further refine their applications.

YERUN is thrilled to announce that the third edition of the YERUN Open Science Awards has been officially launched! The call is now open for applications, until the 5th of December.
Are you an Open Science champion from a YERUN institution? Then, don’t miss the chance to see your initiative rewarded! The YERUN Open Science awards are a celebration of individuals and teams within the YERUN network who have shown exceptional dedication and innovation of Open Science.
Their aim is to recognise and reward Open Science initiatives across the YERUN network. The focus is on initiatives that actively support and implement Open Science principles within the scholarly community. These initiatives can be led by researchers, administrative and support staff, or professional services, either individually or as part of teams.
Winners will receive a financial grant for their institution or department (2,000 euros), which can be used to further develop existing Open Science projects or kickstart new ones. Up to five initiatives will be awarded.
The award-winning initiatives will be invited to showcase their work at an event organized by YERUN in February 2024. All other eligible initiatives will be featured in a dedicated space on the YERUN website and in the newsletter.

The 2023 call for applications is open from 6 November 2023 (00:00 CET) until 5 December 2023 (23:59 CET), and the winners will be announced in February.
