The Challenge Team coordinated by the University Carlos III of Madrid, whose topic is Fight against intolerance: awareness of verbal violence in political speeches and meetings, invited a special speaker Patxi López for an online conference.
Patxi López is a Spanish socialist politician serving as a Member of the Congress of Deputies and chair of the Constitutional Committee and, in the context of the Challenge Team, he is also a non-academic mentor.
The session called Listening to the other: politics in times of polarisation and hatred will allow participants to look at the hate speech topic from a political point of view and will open up a debate among students and other actors about this important and very current topic.
