Thanks to the long-term cooperation of the Institute for Humanistic Research of Chung-Ang University in Seoul with the Department of Social Sciences and Humanities in Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine of the University of Rijeka, the University of Rijeka has the honor to co-organize the 3rd International Conference on Humanistic Aspects of Artistic Intelligence (ICAIH 2020).
This cooperation is further strengthened by the agreement between the University of Seoul and the Documentation and Research Center for European Bioethics ‘Fritz Jahr’ of the Faculty of Health Studies in Rijeka, as well as by two joint scientific projects funded by the Korean Ministry of Education and the National Science Foundation, numerous joint publications, mutual visits and four guest lectures held in 2019 in Seoul. Recently, an agreement on co-publishing the journal ‘Jahr – European Journal of Bioethics’.
This conference was supposed to be held in Rijeka in June this year, but due to the epidemiological situation, it was postponed to December and moved to Seoul. The conference will mostly take place online, with an introductory guest lecture, held by Rijeka people, on the topic ‘AI and Empathy: living in perfect harmony? Sharing some hopes and doubts.’
