…for the professional and personal development of students, teachers and staff
The University of Rijeka has entered into a strategic partnership with Coursera, the leading platform for online learning, thus becoming the first university in the Republic of Croatia and in this part of Europe to enable its students, teachers and non-teaching staff through this type of cooperation to acquire the skills and competences necessary for more successful integration into a rapidly changing and competitive labor market, i.e. an opportunity for better and more efficient work with students or the performance of business tasks.
Coursera provides access to guided projects, courses, specializations and professional certification programs from more than 300 of the world’s leading universities and industries to enhance personal and professional skills and competencies.
Anyone can explore the rich content on coursera.org and try it for free with a 7-day trial, excluding certificates.
Unlimited free access to the available Coursera catalog through the UNIRI – Coursera platform is made possible through a personal four-month license, with which the University and its faculties reward their students and staff who contribute to their development and reputation. During the license period, nominated users have unlimited access to the available catalog, which allows the completion of several certificate courses and the right to an unlimited number of certificates.
Nominated licensees receive an invitation to access one of four personalized learning programs, depending on the target group they belong to – students, teaching staff, non-teaching staff and decision-makers.
Within each study program (UNIRI-Coursera for students, UNIRI-Coursera for academic staff, UNIRI-Coursera for non-academic staff and UNIRI-Coursera for management staff) there is a set of courses, specializations and guided projects recommended by the University of Rijeka in view of the needs identified through student and staff satisfaction surveys, but license users can also choose educational content from the entire Coursera catalog, which includes over 8,400 different contents.
Personal license users also have priority access to technical support, the ability to set and configure objectives and skills, and monitor their progress and skills acquired.
Personal license users, who are nominated by their faculties, are expected to earn at least one certificate during the period of license use.
