Emeriti Council

Emeriti Council consists of all retired professors in permanent employment who have been awarded an honorary title by the University Senate. The Council’s work aims to promote the values of the University, to offer advice, opinions, and suggestions to the administration and the University Senate, and to organise professional and scientific meetings and conferences. Professors emeriti act as leaders or collaborators in research and development projects of the University and its components, participate in scientific research or artistic work at the University, and may participate in teaching within the framework of university studies. In more than 20 years, the University of Rijeka has awarded the honorary title of Emeritus Professor to more than 50 deserving individuals, and today, 36 members are still active in their institutions.
